Write for us!

Social Care Now is always looking for real voices from the frontline of social care in Ireland – and that means you. Whether you’re a student on placement, a seasoned social care worker, a team leader, or involved in education, we’d love you to write for us.

We welcome a wide range of pieces: personal reflections from practice, “day in the life” stories, thoughtful commentary on policy or practice, creative essays, humour pieces, and practical advice for others in the sector. You don’t need to be a professional writer – if you have a story to tell or an experience to share, we’ll support you with gentle editing so your voice stays front and centre.

To pitch or submit, simply email a short outline or draft (anywhere from 300–1,200 words) along with your name, role/area of social care, and location to submissions@socialcarenow.org. If you’d like to be featured in our “A Day in the Life” series, you can also write directly to adayinthelife@socialcarenow.org.

Your experiences matter. By writing for Social Care Now, you help build recognition, connection, and pride across Ireland’s social care community.
