€20 Penny’s Voucher Competition.

Promoter and Eligibility

Social Care Now magazine (the “Promoter”), based in Galway, Ireland, runs this competition (“Competition”). Entry is open exclusively to residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 18 years or older who are currently working as social care workers, students training in social care, or related practitioners. Employees of Social Care Now, its affiliates, sponsors, printers, distributors, or any associated agencies, as well as their immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings) or anyone living in the same household, are not eligible to enter. Proof of eligibility may be required. By entering, participants confirm they meet all criteria and accept these terms.

Entry Period and How to Enter

  • The Competition closes at midday on 31 January 2026 (“Closing Date”). Late entries will not be accepted. To enter:
    • Answer the multiple-choice question published in the magazine correctly.
    • Email your full name, postal address, phone number, email address, chosen answer (A, B, C, or D), and confirmation you are eligible to competitions@socialcarenow.ie.
    • Only one entry per person is permitted. Multiple entries from the same email or household will be disqualified. Entries must be made personally; no bulk, automated, or third-party entries allowed. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, or suspected of tampering.

The Prize

One (1) winner will receive a single €20 Penny’s gift voucher, valid for use in Penny’s stores in Ireland (subject to Penny’s terms). The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or other alternatives. No refunds or compensation for unused portions. The prize must be claimed within 28 days of notification; unclaimed prizes will be forfeited, and another winner selected at the Promoter’s discretion. The Promoter is not responsible for prizes lost, damaged, or misused after dispatch.

Winner Selection and Notification

Only correct entries will be considered. On or around 7 February 2026, correct entries will be entered into a random electronic draw supervised by the Promoter. The first valid entry drawn will be the winner. The winner will be notified by email and/or phone within 7 days of the draw using the contact details provided. If the winner cannot be contacted after three attempts within 7 days, or fails to respond satisfactorily, they forfeit the prize. The Promoter’s decision is final; no correspondence or appeals will be entered into. Winners may be required to provide proof of identity and eligibility.

Publicity and Privacy

By entering, winners consent to their name, county, and a photo (if provided) being published in Social Care Now magazine, website (www.socialcarenow.org), and social media channels for promotional purposes without further compensation. Personal data will be processed in line with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy (available at www.socialcarenow.org/privacy), compliant with GDPR. Data will be used solely for Competition administration, prize fulfillment, and future marketing (with opt-out option). Entrants can request data access, correction, or deletion via privacy@socialcarenow.org
